This tapestry is hand woven on a Gobelins style vertical loom. This colorful tapestry, inspired by wildlife and birds that are endangered, is woven in wool and silk yarns.

It recalls my tapestries titled “Grand Heron J-D N”, and, “Great Blue Heron V7857”. This artwork is stretched on a wooden frame. The size is: 122 x 89 cm (48 by 35 inches)
This item is on show at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum from July 20 to September 28, 2024. The show titled Woven By Hand, Contemporary Canadian Tapestries was curated by Thoma Ewen, and the artists who are participating in this exhibition are: Line Dufour, Thoma Ewen, Murray Gibson, Peter Harris, Barbara Heller, Jane Kidd, Paulette Marie Sauvé, Suzanne Paquette and Ixchel Suarez.
